Dining at Space 220: An Out-of-This-World EPCOT Experience

September 11, 2025 by Alyssa Betsy

Step into EPCOT’s Space 220 and prepare for a dining adventure that’s truly out of this world. This isn’t just dinner, it’s a mission to Centauri Space Station. Your journey begins as you board the “Stellarvator,” a space elevator that launches you into orbit, where panoramic windows reveal Earth, passing spaceships, and astronauts floating by. It’s a setting that will keep little ones wide-eyed and grown-ups equally impressed.

What to Know Before You Go

  • Park Admission Required: Since Space 220 is inside EPCOT, you’ll need valid admission (and a park reservation, if required during your visit).
  • Dining Plans: At this time, Space 220 does not accept dining plans.
  • Two Ways to Dine: Choose between a prix fixe menu in the main dining room or a more flexible à la carte experience at the Space 220 Lounge.
  • Pricing: Lunch starts at $55 per adult and $29 per child. Dinner begins at $79 per adult and $35 per child.

The Experience

Our crew started with drinks, including a Starship Lemonade in a collectible cup with a glow cube. It was a big hit with younger space travelers.

Appetizers included the Starry Calamari (crispy and tender, with a citrusy aioli we loved) and the Apollo 16 Shrimp Tacos (a refreshing cold starter with a light kick). Both were good, but the Calamari won the round.

For entrées, the Slow Rotation Zero-G Short Rib stole the show with tender, fall-apart meat and cheesy grits. The M87 Pork Tenderloin was flavorful and juicy, and the kids’ Mini Mission Macaroni was exactly the comfort food a space cadet might crave.

Then came dessert, and wow. The Electra (lemon mousse with raspberry compote) was the star of the night, though the Milky Meltaway with its melting chocolate dome was a showstopper for kids. The vegan-friendly Lunar Carrot Cake was moist and perfectly spiced.

Our Take

Space 220 manages to balance immersive theming with truly delicious food, something not all themed restaurants can pull off. The atmosphere feels special whether you’re visiting with kids or dining as adults only. If you’re on the fence about the price, the quality of the food and the one-of-a-kind experience make this reservation worth the effort.

Insider Tip: Reservations for Space 220 can be tricky to snag. If you don’t see availability, consider the lounge for more flexibility. You’ll still enjoy the space views without committing to a full prix fixe meal.

Final Verdict

From launch to landing, Space 220 delivers an unforgettable EPCOT dining experience. Between the immersive storytelling and surprisingly standout menu, it’s a spot we’d return to again and again. For us, it’s one of the best themed restaurants in Walt Disney World.
